preCICE-OpenFoam adapter volume coupling

Hi

I understand that preCICE version 2 does not support volume coupling with OpenFOAM. In my framework, it is necessary to use preCICE version 2 rather than version 3. I recently learned that preCICE version 2 supports the preCICE-OpenFOAM adapter up to version 1.2.3, while volume coupling support is only available from version 1.3.0 onwards. I would like to confirm if my understanding is correct.

Yes, this is correct. We merged the volume coupling feature PR after the v1.2.3 release.

You could try backporting this to your version of the adapter, but the long-term solution would be that you upgrade to preCICE v3. Here is how:
