There are multiple OpenFOAM “variants”, including openfoam.com, openfoam.org, and the early fork foam-extend. Which versions of them are compatible?
We aim to always support the latest versions from openfoam.com and openfoam.org. The current details are described in the wiki page Notes on OpenFOAM. This, however, gets more and more difficult over time, as described in this issue.
The master branch should always work with the latest ESI/OpenCFD version (openfoam.com). Other versions may require to checkout a different git branch.
foam-extend is not currently supported by the official adapter, as there are too many differences in the code. However, a port would be welcome and we are happy to help.
Other variants have not been tested.
