Hi preCISE community,
I am Dhanush Sai, and I am excited to contribute to the open-source community. As I am new to GSoC, I would like to make my first contribution to preCICE, as I have a keen interest in the intersection of computer science and physical sciences.
A bit about my background: I am an undergraduate in Computer Science and hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Beyond my technical studies, I am passionate about fitness and the arts. My technical interests are broad, covering web development, data science, machine learning, DevOps, and cloud computing.
I have completed several projects involving web development, ML, and data analysis. I have also worked on automating workflows with DevOps tools and have experience using various AI tools and Prompt Engineering to streamline development.
Current Progress & Goals: For the past three days, I have been analyzing the preCICE website, project ideas, and codebase. While reviewing the structure, I noticed several areas where the UI and documentation could be improved. Following the contribution guidelines, I am currently focusing on solving specific existing issues and expect to submit a PR soon. I would like to start with these smaller improvements before drafting a full GSoC proposal.
I would be very grateful for any guidance toward available issues that would be a good entry point for my skillset. I am looking forward to contributing and learning from this community.
