Hello

Can anyone guide me on how to perform an FSI test case using Palabos and CalculiX?
A third-party adapter for palabos is mentioned to be in development here Overview of adapters | preCICE - The Coupling Library.
Is the development being done at GitHub - KyleDavisSA/palabos complete?

Hi Nithin,

the third party adapter you mentioned is not complete, and was developed more as an example to show that coupling with a suitable immersed boundary solver is possible. It is still very experimental. There are some issues in that adapter, such as the correct calculation of forces on the coupling surface, and running Palabos in parallel with moving interfaces.

If you are familiar with Palabos and/or the Lattice Boltzmann method, we could look at extending this adapter.
