I have one more question. As far as I know, Calculix has built-in Mohr-Coulomb constitutive models since version 2.21. While they work fine when using Calculix alone, I encounter issues where the Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model isn’t recognized when coupling Calculix with OpenFOAM via the Calculix-Adapter.Shouldn’t the Calculix adapter call Calculix’s library? Or does the Calculix adapter have its own library?
Hi @HHao-gihub,
at the moment, the CalculiX adapter is made for CalculiX v2.20. We are happy to get contributions that update it.
The CalculiX adapter directly modifies the CalculiX source code, but some features of CalculiX might not be supported in the coupling, if the respective code part is not modified to call preCICE as well.
P.S.: Let’s keep it one thread per topic, so that threads can be marked as “solved”.
Got it, thanks for your answer.
Can I implement the Mohr-Coulomb constitutive subroutine in Calculix 2.20?
After being implanted in Calculix, can the Calculix-Adapter be used?
Whether a specific subroutine can be implemented in CalculiX is something the CalculiX community can answer. I would suggest asking in the CalculiX forum. Depending on the answer there, the use of the CalculiX adapter can be investigated. The adapter’s use depends on which data is to be read or written from CalculiX. More details about this are in the adapter documentation.
I will mark this thread as solved now. Please open new threads for new questions.
