I want to perform pile-soil interaction analysis using OpenFOAM and Calculix. Calculix includes a static analysis step and a dynamic analysis step.

First, perform a static analysis to establish soil stress equilibrium. Then, use dynamic analysis coupled with OpenFOAM to simulate pile-soil interaction under wave loading.I’m not sure if Precice supports performing these two analysis steps sequentially.

preCICE would only come into the second part of the simulation, coupling OpenFOAM and CalculiX. For that, CalculiX would need to restart from a previous solution. I am not completely sure how to do that at the moment, but I am trying to collect some documentation on our website: …
