For a grid of two solvers where the XYZ coordinates and node numbers of each node are exactly the same, why are there some node mapping errors when mapping? Display distance infinity?

This is indeed strange.
A good way to debug this is to enable the vtu exporter on the participant that performs the mapping. You can then visually check for problems.
