We recommend you try to work with the following branch of the Fluent adapter: GitHub - precice/fluent-adapter at fluent_21_2_0
In the documentation on this branch, you will find information on how to build the adapter: GitHub - precice/fluent-adapter at fluent_21_2_0.
Essentially you use the Makefile provided by Fluent, with some modifications.
