Convergence issues with extremely fine resolution coupling participants

Hi everybody,

I hope you had a great start into the year!

I have stumbled upon another problem in my surface-coupled OpenFOAM-OpenFOAM simulation. Basically, I have still have a similar setup as discussed in my previous thread (flow through a porous domain), only one mesh is extremely fine in comparison to the other. As a result, the coupling of both simulations does not converge. Have you run into similar problems before and by any chance know how to speed up the convergence?

Could you please link to your previous thread? Which one of both OpenFOAM participants is the fine one now?
And please provide the convergence and the iterations file for the failing case.

Hard to say anything general, but there are worse and better solutions when it comes to a coarse-fine coupling.
