It will be better to understand your problem if you can present the log file of openfoam and the precice config file.
The log file is in the attachment I uploaded. When I used a structural modulus of elasticity that was one order of magnitude larger than that in the paper, the case ran successfully.

Sorry for late reply! Maybe you have solved the problem, if not, I suggest turning off the nonlinear effect and test it once again. It may have many reasons of crashing, it needs to be checked step by step.
