Turek-Hron FSI with OpenFOAM and CalculiX

another thing you could try out is to use ALPHA=0.0 similarly to the following configuration of another tutorial case.

I did not see any hints into this direction above and I remember Richard having trouble with the FSI3 benchmark during the work on his bachelor’s thesis when using certain parameters in his time stepping scheme (see section 5.2.3 in Richard’s thesis).

For the perpendicular flap tutorial case we compared different solvers and got identical results in the latest preCICE reference paper. Therefore, I’m optimistic that ALPHA=0.0 in CalculiX produces something that is similar to our FEniCS-based case, where we use the Newmark-beta method.

Disclaimer: I’m not 100% sure how the timestepping scheme that CalculiX uses actually works.
