# OpenFOAM adapter: turbulence in FSI

Hi @Nadia,
technically it should already support turbulence, especially since [this Pull Request got merged](https://github.com/precice/openfoam-adapter/pull/64), but I am not aware of anyone having validated anything with turbulence. I would be happy to help you try and we would all be very interested in the outcome!
By the way, if you are just now starting with preCICE, I would recommend that you wait for a week before you start (if you can afford that), as a few big changes are going to be merged both in preCICE (v2, simplified config) and in the OpenFOAM adapter (new configuration format, fewer dependencies).
